The music of 3 Kisses doesn't particularly strike a chord with me, but I'm sure there are oodles of pop-punk fans out there who would go for their tunes - something to which I credit their extensive ongoing touring schedule.

Although they insist that alternative music acts as a primary influence to their songwriting, I did not hear any chord progressions or melodies within that realm on this album. However, I am willing to entertain the notion that the band's definition of alternative music is different from mine.

Reminescent of early Letters to Cleo & Jill Sobule mixed with the tenure of early girl groups of the 50s and 60s with a surf rock twist (the influence of Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys is extremely apparent), I don't feel there is necessarily anything original here.

Although their music for the most part is catchy, the singalong choruses can become a bit redundant. The band attempted to venture out with their songwriting, comprising the album of both upbeat and downtempo tracks, however, they should've stuck to what works for them: fast paced pop rock.

The mixing of this album could definitely use some work as the basslines were at the forefront of every track often overpowering the lead guitars, and vocals. However, I don't blame the band for that, rather their producer.

The vocals, at times are flat, which may be intentional, but again, something I would have advised against if I was recording this album.

Despite the fact this is not my cup of tea, I'm sure plenty of listeners who enjoy a regular fix of light and fluffy poprock will get their head bobbing and toes tapping to "It All Comes Down to Me."
